Our theme "Breastfeeding: Establishing Identity - ukaipo: no wai te waiu" will present the many ways that breastfeeding shapes the lives of mothers, children, families, supporters and society as a whole. We will also explore the challenges faced in establishing the identity of breastfeeding.   

 

Speakers from the La Leche League Board of Consultants, Leaders, and from the wider community will be presenting on a range of current breastfeeding and parenting topics.

International Breastfeeding Friendly Sign

Celebrating Breastfeeding - International Breastfeeding Friendly Sign

The international breastfeeding friendly sign is now available , providing an alternative to the use of a baby bottle image to designate baby friendly areas in public, and to mark breastfeeding friendly facilities. 

Of course, breastfeeding can happen anytime, anywhere. The purpose of the symbol is not to segregate breastfeeding, but to help integrate it into society by better accommodating it in public.

The sign is suitable for use anywhere other international symbols are displayed: restrooms, airports, bus and train stations, shopping malls, rest areas, hospital waiting rooms, fitness centres, supermarkets, parks, amusement parks, hotel foyers and so on.

 

Available in three types:

Sign made of rigid PVC 12cm x 12cm - $10.00 each

Vinyl sticker 12cm x 12cm - $5.00 each

Reverse glass vinyl sticker 6cm x 6cm - $2.50 each
